Assessment Workshops:

As you know, the University Assessment Committee this year is collecting from each department/program its mission statement, program goals, and associated student learning outcomes.  To that end, I’d like to invite you to consider attending the CTL events this Spring that are geared towards helping departments/programs design this apparatus.   The idea with these events is that they will give hands-on help with designing (or refreshing) each of these items.  The events are as follows:

1) Friday, March 18, “Mission Impossible: Writing Department Mission Statements that are Ready for the Real World” at the Faculty Staff Club, 1130-1250 (with optional discussion-workshop 1-150), RSVP at ctl.sdsu.edu/events  (limited space, reserve early).

2) Friday, April 22, “Writing Learning Goals for Academic Programs” at the Faculty Staff Club, 1130-1250 (with optional discussion-workshop 1-150), RSVP at ctl.sdsu.edu/events (limited space, reserve early).

3) Wednesday, May 25, the Assessment Track at the “Day in May” (more info to follow).
